I have always had an interest in Science and Mathematics. In Science, I was able to understand so many things about the world through them. It also covered a range of things from how plants grow to how elements react with each other. Mathematics gave me the joy of completing a long, complex problem and getting the right answer. It really helped my problem-solving skills. These things were what led me to pursue a major in Biochemistry. I have learned so many valuable skills in the classes I have taken to complete my major. Skills that will ultimately help me as I delve deeper into my pharmacy career. Every class I have taken has benefited and prepared me for the next chapter of my life. With Math, I can calculate the accurate dosage of the drug which is required for the patient in relation to hospital pharmacy. Not only were Science and Mathematics of interest to me but, Reading and Writing were as well. I believe the skills accompanied with these two subjects can be applicable in any career and because I have a passion for them, I know I will be able to apply them in Pharmacy. Writing has taught me to clearly and effectively translate what you want people to see and hear. Reading has taught me to understand and comprehend what is being translated to me. I am confident this will be useful in a pharmacy degree. I have advanced in my communication skills from working as a community babysitter, as well as, participating in my organizations and club at my college.
