I am currently a third-year student in the management co-op program specializing in accounting. I had completed my first work term in PwC as a Tax Associate. Collaborating with various people in university and PwC allowed me to learn more about myself, including my capacities and areas to improve. Through identifying my competencies with the assessments (Appendix) and collecting feedbacks from people who know me well, such as family members and peers, I have selected 2 of my strengths and 2 weaknesses that will be discussed below.

Although I have always set high expectations and goals to achieve excellence in academic courses, due to the nature of some courses, it is relatively rare to receive as high marks as other courses. In this case, I would not force myself to meet these unachievable goals; even though I have set an initial goal, I adjust the target according to the reality instead of keep in aiming at the goals that will eventually cause me frustrated. Flexibility has also an important element that helps me improve my team-working skill; it will be easier for me to collaborate with different people according to each people’s style of working and characteristics. This is definitely crucial for me in pursuing my future study or career, which team working is becoming more and more essential nowadays. A research performed by Verdú-Jover, Gómez-Gras, and Lloréns-Montes (2008) demonstrated how managerial flexibility in an organization is essential to facilitate performance, in particular under the rapidly changing environment with respect to the technological development these days. This is further supported by Campus, Aldás‐Manzano, Buenaventura‐Vera and Torres‐Carballo’s (2016) study, that not only the flexibility from the management team but also from employees that helps maintain the competitiveness of the organization. It is proven that the more adaptable the employees are with dynamic changes, the greater potential the organizational learning capability is, and consequently, promotes the individual and organizational behaviors.
