Although to some people teaching is an easy way out or something they are able to do if their other plans do not work out. But for me, teaching has always been something that I have wanted to do because of the pure pleasure that it brings be for a child to understand something and be able to work independently.
I have been given the opportunity to experience this in the classroom as a Junior and Senior at my high school through an internship program. This allowed me to experience teaching in the classroom in a different way; at first as an outsider observing, but then later being able to actually interact with students. I can remember my mother talking able how much she loved math and I have also carried on this love. Something she always used to say that at the time I always thought was annoying and not true was that you use math every single day and that is why it is so important. I have come to realize that math is used more than actually though and you have to have a basic understanding of math to live life with ease. Although in life often time a solution to a problem is not always able to be found in math there is always a way to fix things and find the solution to the problem. This allows there to be stability which is what most people wish to have and math gives me a sense of stability. This class was great because more often than not I understood how to do something with little explanation this allowed me to work with other classmates who didn't quite get the concept yet. This class was something that came very easy to me and I have found that my dream would to eventually teach this class in a high school or even at a college level. During my time in this class, a project was presented to the class that was to teach the rest of the class a lesson out of the book that we had not covered yet. This was something that interests me greatly because I had been taking teaching classes and had taught lessons on other subjects but to actually teach something that I really enjoyed excited me. This lesson involved a worksheet and interactive lesson that would teach the class how to do the process. This lesson was a success gave me another reason on why I should do this for a living because of how much I enjoyed doing
