I am applying to the Masters of Global Affairs at the Munk School to pursue my interest of studying global healthcare development and its impact on the global system and in reverse the impact global systems have on healthcare. I am in my fourth year of studies and I am graduating this June. My academic background at the University Of Toronto in Equity Studies, Diaspora Transnational Studies, and South Asian Studies has impacted my aspiration to pursue a future in this field. The courses that I have taken throughout my undergraduate study have provided me with the opportunity and the desire to explore how equitable, cultural, economic, and political innovations have been amplified through the enhanced era of globalization and how this has immensely …show more content…

Thus, I believe that the Global Affairs program will prepare me for this role by not only giving me a greater understanding of global processes but also equipping me with management proficiencies, analytical skills, financial competencies, hands on experiences and salient understandings of global concerns, through a unique and imperative lens. The program will develop my professional skills in giving me the opportunity to apply my academic background to real life situations through the internship and capstone seminars, in turn preparing me for the position I hope to acquire by equipping me with both knowledge and practical experience. The Master of Global Affairs program will directly enhance my academic background, fulfill my scholarly goals, and challenge me throughout my academic journey. It would
