The past couple of years in my life have influenced me to make the decision of wanting to study Accounting and Finance and have developed a great interest in the course. I think this course is the best possible choice and would like to have a career in this sector. I have got excellent grades and punctuality which has allowed me to learn to the best of my ability and has allowed me to meet coursework deadlines and cope with new people and different environments. Through my business courses at GCSE and at A-level I became very interested in the power of money and through other experiences throughout my life.
Studying both business and ICT have given me the ideal skills to start the course. In my business A-level, I have learnt to do profit and loss accounts and breakeven analysis which are used in the accounting and finance sector. Also, in my ICT A-level, I have learnt how to use computers and software programs such as Microsoft Excel. Throughout my business A-level, I have done a lot of teamwork which has helped me develop my communication and team working skills and I think that these skills will be vital when going into higher education and in the workplace as well. At first, it was just cleaning the cars but as I have grown older it has changed as know I know the true understanding of money and I am capable of handling it. I carry out tasks such as working out the amount of profit made on each car, monthly revenue and even loss made on some cars too. I have come to the realisation that businesses do not always make profits and can sometimes endure losses also this has allowed me to meet different people from different backgrounds.
