Ever since I was a young boy I always looked for a way to make money. Rather if it was selling lemonade on the corner of my street or selling artwork to my mom for her spare change. I always sat on my bed for hours counting and recounting the money that I made from that day, even if it was only a couple dollars. I have always enjoyed the activity of trying to do things that made me money. That is why my lifetime goals are to own and operate my own business and be effective while doing so to generate as much profit. When I started high school I was told to pick classes that went with the career I wanted to go into. So I picked all the classes that fit with business and management. These classes included Sports Entertainment and Marketing, Entrepreneurship and, Problems and Solutions. All these classes taught me so much that I did not know. Sport Entertainment and Marketing taught me the basics of marketing your business and the basic advertising techniques and how to use them effectively. Entrepreneurship, My most favorite class, taught me how to start and operate my own business while managing employees and expenses so the business makes profit. I feel like I could learn and build on what I have already have been taught. High school just scratched the surface on the main topics, it was just the very basic things, but in college I feel like I will learn the more advanced things which will help me out dramatically in achieving my lifetime goal of owning my own business. It will give me a better understanding of how to manage people in an organization more efficiently so that I, as a manger, am more liked which makes my employees work harder and better. It will also teach me more advanced marking techniques and how to appeal to the public and out market any competition.
