An inexplicable pull, almost like a magnet, has always been inside me. I recall telling my parents when I was younger that I was destined to open up my own bakery. World-famous confectionery goodness would someday be displayed in my elegant mock French bakery. I had big plans and was determined that this was who I was going to be. As I grew older, however, my interests began to drift elsewhere. Yet, no matter how many different paths I’ve pursued, I’ve always ended up coming back to baking. Just as my once imaginary plans dictate, I intend to become a chef - specifically speaking - a pastry chef. Furthermore, I intend to travel the world to find the best recipes from all corners of the world. I’m no exception. Operating my own bakery was always my original goal, though now I’m uncertain. Now, my ultimate goal is to end up somewhere where I can use my culinary talent and creativity to construct new flavor and food combinations. This could mean working in someone else’s establishment or owning my own.
After obtaining my associate degree, I intend to pursue a bachelor degree with a specialized focus and training in pastries. Additionally, I want to obtain a steady job in the food industry that utilizes the culinary skills I will cultivate over the next two years. Ideally, I will be able to work hard and progress to higher positions, perhaps managing my own kitchen
