Animals barely have any rights; most are tested on, and abused or even killed. Ever since Ancient Egypt people believed that animals were gods.(Scruton) There are religions that animals should not have rights, but most do believe animals should have rights.(Texas) Some people believe there is no “superior” species that everyone is equal.(Regean,Tom) Also have memory and sense of feeling, which is their mental state.
