An animals life are not for our personal use of experimenting and torturing species in order for us to advance in science. There is little to no laws or regulation to conducting animal testing and the number of testing an it is unfortunately rising in other countries instead of declining. The United States is one of the top 10 countries that conduct experiments on animals (“Cruelty to Animals in Laboratories”). Even though many state that animal testing is the only way t safely trial medical experiments, over the years new alternatives and examination has been done that can bring an end to animal testing all together. During labs, these experiments have no boundaries on what they can or can't do to the animal. Animals are not functioned to be trapped for life or tortured on daily bases, they live unnatural and stressful lives with no way to escape. Many argue that inspections and laws have been place but Public Health Service's (PHS) Policy on the Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals covers animals in their own funded research, but the PHS does not conduct inspections on itself and relies on the labs themselves to conduct the inspections (“Harm and Suffering | Animals in Science / Research.”) This is a fault in the system because illegal action can be occurring but there is no evaluation to confirm it. Animal testing was and should be an old scientific technique because new advancements of alternatives have been found but it continues to be performed. The suffering of animals needs to stop happening for our advantage and we need to realize that if animals are so biologically similar to humans, they share the same amount of emotions as
