In response, anti-drug and alcohol organizations and authorities have launched multiple campaigns to stop these preventable situations. Additionally, "Stop the Violence" dangerous driving ads stand out as powerful messages in addressing the harsh reality of driving under the influence. These advertisements use powerful imagery, emotive messaging, and persuade viewers to change their ways and, in the end, save lives. Fundamentally "Stop the Violence" drunk driving ads are powerful tools that don't only use ads, they also use visual communication towards their audience.
Dear Senator Jody Hice: I am writing to you due to the dangerous driving which I see on the roads and streets of Georgia and across the USA. From one concerned person to another I would like to bring your attention to this issue which I am sure you will agree needs to be addressed. I am sure you would also like to see safer driving conditions around you every time you go out on the roads. I would like to plead with you to change the way people drive across the state of Georgia and the USA.
Drunk Driving: A Call for Improved Control Methods and New Technologies Today, the government uses one efficient method, called sobriety checkpoints, to minimize alcohol-impaired driving. There are many checkpoints in different states of the USA, that help to recognize whether a driver is sober or not. Sobriety checkpoints require two police officers, who guard road posts and observe for any suspicious driving. However, such checkpoints do not solve the problem of drunk driving since they cannot embrace every street and every corner where vehicles can drive. Sobriety checkpoints can be helpful only “when used as a part of a comprehensive enforcement program” (Lindquist and Wendt 1).
1: This particular advertisement is promoting the possible effects of drink driving and why it is dangerous to do so. The advertisement contains a confronting image, of a pair of legs which is made up of one normal leg and an artificial one. This image is big and takes up the whole left side of the advertisement, this helps bring the attention to the viewers of the artificial leg and helps enforce the fact of this could be them in the future if they were to take the risk of drink driving. 2: The central persuasive technique used in this advertisement, is the appeal of emotion towards the viewers. This is done by the colours, picture and writing that is seen on the advertisement.
It is no secret that a major problem with in the state of New Mexico is DWI’s. Drinking while driving is a huge felony and one may have to spend some time in jail for being charged with more than one DWI. Many people lose their lives every year due to being the drunk driver or getting in a wreck with one. Statisticbrain.com states that, on average DWI’s claim the lives of about 10,075 people annually. A minor solution to this awful problem would be to just ban alcohol from those who have too many DWI offenses.
How would you feel if you couldn’t drive until you graduated? The legislature is considering to require a high school degree before he or she could receive a driver’s license. This could be seen as a motivator to graduate or a safety precaution to make better, more mature drivers, but it takes away the beginnings of freedom necessary before college and the means of transportation to a job or extracurricular activities. A big part of highschool is becoming more independent to become more prepared for college or life, and driving is one of the biggest symbols of independence.

The picture is of a car upside down on a highway with big white letter going across the picture that says “i’m just buzzed” which indicated that the driver thought he was okay to drive after he was drinking. There is yellow caution tape going across where it says buzzed and the tape says “driving with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.” The other side of the caution tape says that Michael Gagnon killed a mom and her four children in a head on collision. Whether it is because of drinking, drugs, or bad judgment, multiple accidents harm and happen daily. There are many solutions to this problem. One is that the age to drive can be raised. With the teenage brain still developing it would be safer to wait until adulthood to be able to drive.
The thought of young teenagers driving can be frightening, but when putting further consideration into it, you will realize that it would be helpful to everyone. Society would greatly benefit from letting teenagers drive at 13 years old. Many of the risks of an adolescent driving would be counter-acted by all of the benefits that it would provide to families. Busy schedules and tardiness could be helped by letting teenagers drive. It would also teach the young person how to be more responsible and independent at an earlier age.
Drinking and driving is a very serious matter. Many people can be injured in accidents that involve alcohol. Many people do not understand the consequences, of drinking while under the influence, and how serious they can be. The Bucharest Traffic Police made this ad to help raise awareness for driving while under the influence and hope to inspire people to be responsible drivers.

Proving teens are not ready to get on the road just yet, due to their impulse and reckless behavior. The driving age minimum should be raised.
