I have seen many articles and done research on these topics and this is what I have concluded: everyone is equal. I may not personally be a part of the LGBTQ+ community or be a part of any cultural community or race, but I do believe that all feelings of an individual are valid. They are worthy of being and feeling any way they know in their hearts is right, regardless of what gender they are or the colour of their skin. But when we have leaders of countries trying to ban individuals from a place that is famously known as ‘the land of the free’, I become very uneasy about the future of this world. Humans has stooped so low that we cannot see past religious differences because of mistakes that some individuals once made a long-time age.
An important and impactful U.S. document, known as the Declaration of Independence states “ …that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people are like ordinary U.S. citizens and deserve the same freedoms. As of now, discrimination of a certain race being higher than another, is not the only problem. LGBT people around the U.S. are being harassed, discriminated, and freedoms and rights are being taken away. A person’s sexual orientation can force them to not eat at a particular restaurant, adopt a child, or even buy a simple wedding cake.
When brand sponsor gay advertising they are taken into account equality for all people. Many people praise brands for doing such things as supporting LGBT, there are still those who do not support these causes and will therefore drop any brand that promotes gays. Though this group of people who oppose equality, the consensus many support and feel that advertising to gays is no different than doing so for latinos or blacks. It’s becoming a more common thing to see companies advertise to different segments in society. What advertising to LBGT does is show a shift to a more connected and accepted way of supporting and gaining their business.
The LGBTQ community has been fighting all over the world for their right to become legally and openly married while having their rights protected. Gay Adoption In 2009, 19 percent of same-sex couples have adopted and then successfully raised children (Tavernise). Research has pointed to the conclusion that being raised by gay parents has no affect on the child's outcome or way of thinking (Gilgolff). Gay and lesbians couples, should legally be allowed to adopt children for it is their right, it benefits other children and they deserve happiness and the possibility to have their own family just like every other straight couple.
I don’t know what the LGBT community did to you, Mr. Brown, but I highly doubt it warrants denying them the basic rights of love. Merriam-Webster will tell you that marriage is, and I quote, “the state of being united as spouses in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law”. Those are the exact words. It doesn’t say anything about man and woman, husband and wife, or Mr and Mrs. It says “spouses”, which means they can be any gender as they as they plan on having a long-lasting, meaningful relationship--hopefully for ‘as long as they both shall live’. Tell me, Mr. Brown, why is it okay for a woman to marry five different times if she clearly doesn’t love the men she’s marrying?

And let's face it the issue isn't going to just disappear anytime soon. While conservatives protest the tide of change, the LGBT community rallies for progress. The issue of same sex marriage has been an issue ever since about the 1970’s in the United States history. Activists have been working hard to insure that same sex couples receive the same treatment as different sex couples. Gay rights has been an occurring topic since the 1970’s when there was riots to try to bring light to the subject so it could be resolved. However, the citizens in these riots didn’t take much interest in this issue because they didn’t support it. Even though people would laugh and make fun of gay people they supporters of these gay groups would never give up on the issue.
The first known gay rights organization was in 1924. The objective of this Chicago-based group was to bring together other gays as well as educate lawyers and lawmakers on gay-related issues. Despite this, the first national gay organization wasn’t until 1951. In 1969, a riot occurred in the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar, between patrons and police. Some believe that this was the beginning of activism, but it can be traced to before World War II.
To most ears, it probably sounds inoffensive. A little outdated and clinical, perhaps, but harmless enough: homosexual. But that five-syllable word has never been more loaded, more deliberately used and, to the ears of many gays and lesbians, more permissiveness. Homosexual’ is the ring of ‘colored’ now, in the way your grandmother might have used that term, except that it hasn’t been recover in the same way. Consider the following phrases: homosexual community, homosexual activist, homosexual marriage.
Homosexuality is becoming more and more accepted and integrated into today’s society, however, when it comes to homosexuals establishing families, a problem is posed. In most states, homosexuals can adopt children like any other married or single adult. There are many arguments to this controversial topic; some people believe that it should be legal nationally, while others would prefer that is was banned everywhere, or at least in their individual states. There are logical reasons to allow gays to adopt children, but for some, these reasons are not enough. The main issue really is, what is in the best interest of the child?
Homosexuality was once considered sacred in ancient Rome, albeit being treated poorly since the middle ages. Like this, homosexuality has been suppressed for a long time and thenceforth, the public opinion towards it has been on a downward road until recent years when LGBT groups started stepping up front and coming out along with the increasing controversy towards their rights. The subject of homosexuality has always been polemical. Every once in a while a news article would come up saying something like "Manny Pacquiao provokes storm by calling gay people ‘worse than animals’" or "Sam Smith Talks Coming Out As Gay".
The issue of "homosexuality" seems to have divided the nation. While the matter is still under sub-judice, the debate over the draconian Section 377 continues in the public sphere. It is now no longer is a legal battle as the debate almost settled legally, but the moral argument continues. Ofcourse it is a vague topic as many advocate for it and a lot of people oppose. The fundamental question is whether anyone cares about the moral argument?

This community is also known as LGBT or LGBTQ community. LGBTQ community is a group of people who are lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgender, and queer.
