The Constitution’s Second Amendment states, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." This means that all law abiding citizens have the right to own guns if they want to. But, there are people trying to take this right away from us through gun control legislation, which is wrong. All law abiding citizens should have the right to own guns. Self defense is probably the number one most important reason that law abiding citizens should have the choice to own guns. There are two guns that are mainly used for self defence. A pistol is usually used for concealed carry which is for if a mugger were to attempt to rob someone, or if someone starts shooting at a public place. Shotguns are used for house self defence if someone were to break into a house. If no one had guns they are at the mercy of any robber or someone breaking into a house. The most anyone could do is call the cops and wait 5-30 minutes for them to get there while the criminal is long gone. …show more content…

So many law abiding citizens love shooting guns as hobbies or even to put food on the table. Personally I’m not a big fan of hunting but there are so many people that like going hunting not only for fun but also so they don’t have to go to the store to buy meat. Another great hobby with guns to do which I do like doing is going to the shooting range. This not only is very fun but also makes you better with guns in case god forbid you ever have to use one for self
