Marijuana is horrible for you? One of the many questions asked today. Marijuana today is recognized all over this world; people label this drug to be a “get high” drug or a bad drug. With all the health benefits that come with this drug, my question to the government is why not legalize it? Marijuana will not only help with medical purposes but also with employment. I will be here to explain my positive view on Marijuana and explain how this can be a very positive thing in our world today. Colorado is a very lucky city and I just really wish every state had the same benefit as Colorado. “With the passing of Amendment 64, adults 21 or older in Colorado can legally possess one ounce (28 grams) of marijuana or THC” (Guide). Some people may not like all the rules that they have issued to this state concerning this drug, but I really love what they have done. These rules limit the people who abuse the drug for other wrongful purposes like I stated before, to “get high.” This country in my opinion would be a better place if this were to become legal in all areas. …show more content…
“The criminalization of marijuana use disproportionately harms young people and people of color, sponsors massive levels of violence and corruption, and fails to curb youth access.” (Alliance). Violence is at an all-time high in America this decade and Marijuana abuse is at the top of the list. But we can all make a stand and make this concern at the bottom of that list, people would go on with their days and not have to be scared to come out of there house or even become scared to go certain places if marijuana was to become legalized
