Medical Marijuana As the man walks out of the hospital, he thinks “why, why does this have to happen to me”. It turns out that the man is diagnosed with cancer. His doctor told him that he only has six months to live. He is terrified, he does not know what to do other than search for a cure. He has gone into over 20 hospitals searching for a cure and has not found anything. He researches day and night to find something…and he does. Marijuana is the only way he can live. But the cure for cancer is illegal, so his options are to die, or become a law breaker, cure himself and keep on being a father, a son, a husband, and to keep on living. Medical Marijuana should be legalized because there would be less criminals, it has many medical uses, and it is a safe drug. There are many people that are in need of marijuana’s medical uses but they can not get them because it is not legalized in there state. So the people that need it go and get it and use it illegally. Many people who are or where addicted to a drug such as cocaine, heroin, or meth say that they all started with marijuana. But those people who switched drugs wanted a different high and a different rush than what marijuana gave them. So if the people that need it only use it to help cure or calm their disease, it will not lead to other drugs. Marijuana can help kill cancer cells while not putting all of the harmful effects of radiation on their body. It can also with epileptic seizures marijuana heals the brain after a stroke has occurred. Researchers also say that marijuana can help with the effects that tobacco has on the lungs, such as it can be used to increase lung capacity and it can also be used as a therapeutic
