lot of people, like a majority of republicans, think that the Syrians and Muslims could possibly be a threat to the United States. But they are all wrong. All most Syrians and Muslims want is a new start, life, and a way to escape the bloodiness of the war. The people against this think that the Islamic State will threaten and attack the United States if we harbor these people. They also think we are one of the most powerful nations. If we are, why do we just stand back and wait for the Islamic State to turn Syria into a battlefield, killing millions in the process. Why do we let the innocent Syrians see this bloody war. They were in the middle of drought, and they still are today. So when the civil war started, that put the Syrians in one of their worst conditions ever. Picture yourself, your life today. Now picture being poor and in the middle of a drought, where your family is sick and you are thirsty. Now, picture a civil war starting while you’re in the middle of poverty and drought and now you have to worry about staying alive. Pretty hard, right? Now think about the innocent Muslims and Syrians. Over 500,000 people in Syria died, and that is just Syria civilians. What about the people in the war and in other countries? If we take in Syrian refugees, a ton of that 500,000 people will be safe and will be able to say they are happy and safe. Some people say that some terrorists might be disguised as refugees. But won’t they usually go through a metal or weapon scanner anyway? Millions are dead because we won’t take action. The United States is a country of immigrants anyway. By keeping syrians out, we are violating another human right. We are violating the right to asylum. We take not being in the middle of war or poverty for
