A.) The Philosophy
The Fashion Group International has a philosophy to promote fashion to the world and the amass role it plays in the retail market. Enhancing its member’s growth as professionals in the fashion industry and supporting fashion education.
B.) Mission and Goals
There are six main goals that the Fashion Group International members need to uphold. These goals include: 1. Advance professionalism in the industry.
2. Provide a public forum for discussion of contemporary issues.
3. Provide news on global trends that will have an impact on the fashion industry.
4. Raise attention of professional’s achievements in the business
5. Influence business professionals to consider a career in the fashion industry.
6. Hold networking events to further professional engagement and development.
The overall mission of the Fashion Group is to promote educational programs that will lead to new professionals in the fashion industry. They are a large contributor to fashion scholarships and are an incredible source for …show more content…

The Global Fashion Management program at FIT gives you the experience of traveling to three of the most prominent cities that control the fashion industry; New York, Paris, and Hong Kong. This would be an advantage in the workforce to have firsthand experience of how the industry is constructed in each of these countries. The program at LIM College has a slight disadvantage as they focus more on domestic retailing rather than international which is what I would like to pursue in my career. LIM however is the most affordable of the three programs. The Fashion Studies program at Parsons New School of Design is the most expensive, yet appears to give the most in depth knowledge of the fashion industry as a whole rather than focusing on a few main
