My mission as an educator is to inspire students to pursue and work hard to achieve their dreams and aspirations. I will create and foster a safe environment where my students will feel welcomed, valued, respected, and heard. As a teacher, I recognize the profound impact we have on our students' lives, and I will strive to make that impact a positive one. Our duty as mentors and role models is important, and our students and their families rely on us to provide them with a meaningful education. I am held responsible for guiding and supporting my students toward their future dreams and goals. I am a HUMAN developer, which stands for holistic views of student learning, understanding of diversity, managing learning communities, assessing student progress based on national and state standards, and newer approaches to learning with technology and innovation. Holistic views of student learning mean that I see and understand each student as a whole person, considering their physical, emotional, mental, social, and cognitive needs. I believe that every student is capable of learning, and I must create a classroom environment that is welcoming, where all students will thrive (Johnson et al., p. 130).
