1. What do you want to accomplish as a teacher?
As a math teacher, I want to accomplish three things: to stimulate students’ interests to learn math; to rise students’ positive attitudes math; and to help students perform well in math.

2. How will (do) you go about finding out about students' attitudes and feelings about your class?
I would ask students to give me anonymous feedback periodically. Sometimes I will also talk to student individually in a face-to-face approach. Lastly, in my class I will observe students’ behavior and language. Putting information from these channels I will be able to know students’ attitudes and feelings about my class.

I will set up a policy in my first class and explain it to students clearly. Good class management reduces the possibility of having behavior issue in class and thus ultimately benefits students’ learning.

4. A parent comes to you and complains that what you are teaching his child is irrelevant to the child's needs. How would you respond?
First, it is a good thing that a parent expressed a concern of the child’s need. That means the parents cares about his or her child’s education. Second, I will listen of the parent’s concern carefully. If the parent’s concern indeed reflects an issue in my teaching, I will address the issue properly. If the parent’s concern is resulted in other factors such as lack of communication of misunderstanding, I will explain the issue to the parent in details.

5. How do you go about deciding what it is that should be taught in your class?
The content I will teach in my class will be largely decided by the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). I will follow CCSS to set up my teaching plan. In addition, I will give students some pre-assessments at the beginning of a quarter to know better of students’ previous knowledge and then teach them
