The American Diet Everyone knows where they’re at when they see the giant Golden M. Many people go to fast food facility’s more than once a week which can lead to very unhealthy lifestyle. People say eating at fast food places is fast easy and cost little. But this can be argued untrue. Fast food places can lead to obesity, addiction, and alters people's mood. And these are just some factors to the American Diet. People now and the future generation don’t want to end up like the people in Wall-E. The American Diet is out of control and it needs to change now. To start it off, the food they serve at fast food places can be addictive. Study shows that food less nutrients that a food or meal has is more pleasing to people and their body. Dr. Mercola stated that 18% of child obesity would cut down if fast food places cut down their food and advertisement. Thier food has more sugars, fat and sodium than the stuff it needs. If a person keeps eating their food, all the fat, sugars, and sodium will build up to make them obese. Lastly, food can alter people’s mood. Many people that are addicted to food when they eat they are happy when they stop the feel sad or they feel depressed. Many people will become depressed when they eat fast food for a while. Morgan Spurlock had felt this way in the movie Super Size Me where he went on a Mcdonald (fast food) diet for a month. While some may argue that eating at fast food places is less expensive it is more true that eating organic food is healthier and may be less money. Some evidence to prove my reason is that organic (healthy) food you can grow it in your backyard while processed you have to buy it. Also, organic food can prevent from getting ill which lowers health care. When you eat junk food often you have to keep going back for more which ends up
