Through my participation in Central Michigan University’s Pre-PT Club, I discovered seven crucial aspects of professionalism in physical provided by the APTA. Communication between those professionals is key to the quality of care that client will receive. Secondly, many agencies also include more than one service program, and inter-agency communication between service providers, program directors, and executive management is vital to sustainability. Lastly, there is also the fact that many services are fund either by a government assistance program, or through insurance, and those agencies require good communication. Due to the diversity of audience, writing in this field is made very clear and often straight to the point.
I was very Impressed with Linda 's professionalism. She consistently follows all procedures and protocols. She listens to the caller and has a compassionate heart to pray for their needs. I deal with all problems head on and feel that it’s more how can I solve the problem and find a solution that benefits not only the customer but also ensuring that the supplier/broker relationships are kept strong. I am able to be assertive when sending steps to the supplier whilst not damaging relationships. I am able to set the customer expectations by being upfront honest and straight talking. I have a built up and carry on building strong relationships with my work colleagues and my peers who are able to approach me for guidance or support. I have done side by side coaching, going through cases with colleagues, looking through the case and the history and how we can get to the end result whether this be using the micro sites, calling the customer or contacting the supplier directly.
Project Life I chose Cosmetology because, I love working with hair, skin, and nails. Also there is something about making people feel better about themselves that gives me a feeling of accomplishment. With this job, you need to be able to interact with others nicely and have good listening skills. This is because you may have a client that wants to get something off their chest or just needs someone to really take in what they’re saying and maybe be able to professional advice to help with the issue. Professionalism by definition is "the skill, good judgment and polite behavior that is expected from a person who is trained to do a job well." The American Physical Therapy Association states that "there are seven core values that comprise professionalism in physical therapy: accountability, compassion, excellence, professional duty, social responsibility, integrity, and altruism. " For some professionalism can simply mean that the individual has a high level of standards, but for others, the term might hold a different meaning. One might infer that there can be several different definitions that apply to this term, which poses the question, what is professionalism in the context of being a student in a doctor of physical therapy degree program?
I would address the issue of professionalism that the police department lacks. The media’s agenda loves playing with topics such as police brutality, racism, and other symptoms like this, but the root issue is the lack of professionalism. The use of force to protect an officer’s life when he feels threatened is justified. Sometimes a white officer arrests a black criminal. There is nothing wrong with either of these situations or a combination of the two.

Campus Professionalism on campus for the next eight months is truly important to me. The understanding I am going to be on campus a couple times week of my junior and senior semesters. I see this first semester as good practice for the rest of my career. Every morning I get out of my car with a smile on my face and walk with confidence to the classroom. If I am greeted by an instructor in the elevator or passing in the hallway I will say hello, Sir or Ma’am, obviously depending on gender.
