Should unlawful Killing of innocent children be legal? Should it be legal to kill an innocent child? Is it right to kill an innocent human being, a fetus, yet to become a baby? The dictionary definition of abortion is “The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks;The expulsion of a fetus from the uterus by natural causes before it is able to survive independently” (Oxford). Many people believe that fetuses are living beings, so does the government as it is said, “Unborn babies are considered human beings by the US government,” (“Should Abortion”) Unborn babies are humans, according to this quote, so abortion, by its definition, is a form of murder towards a living being, as it takes away their chance of survival. Some people believe that life starts at birth, others believe it starts at conception. Dr. Jerome LeJeune, professor of genetics at the University of Descartes in Paris, believes that “after fertilization has taken place a new human being has come into being.’...‘Each individual has a very neat beginning, at conception” (Alcon). This signifies that the fetus is a living being after fertilization, so abortion of a fetus even at its beginning stage as an embryo, is considered murder because it is killing a faultless human being.
