The first time I saw Amherst College, it was the beginning of spring in 2016; the beauty of the rolling hills was breathtaking as I sat on Memorial Hill, warming from the sun become more and more envious of every student, staff and faculty member that walked by. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to turn that envy into motivation. After some research, it didn’t take long for me to notice Amherst’s strengths matched its beauty and to make the decision that I wanted to be a part of an institution that turns vision into action, as a front-line fundraiser. Amherst College promotes innovation and interdisciplinary education, creating profession-ready individuals with a drive for impacting change. I believe that with my passion and fundraising experience I would be a great addition to Amherst College Leadership Giving Team as the Development Officer. I have dedicated the past five years of my life to activism and nonprofit management, developing my skills in fundraising, communication, and designing and implementing donor relation strategies. While I am committed to my work, I believe that my true passion lies in higher education.
