Currently, I am working at Hampton University, University College Department as an Assistant Registrar /Data Specialist I. I would like to pursue a Ph.D. degree in the Educational Foundations & Leadership with concentration in Higher Education to advance my knowledge of the required leadership qualities, specialized skills, and educational systems so that I may ultimately contribute to the development of the education system.

At the post-operative unit, I was struggling with the pain emanated from a massive surgery. A doctor asked me to rate my pain in a 10-point scale. Since then I started thinking and exploring why and how we explain most of the things, such as human behaviors, feelings etc., in numbers. This led my decision to major in statistics so that I could understand the numerical explanations of complex issues. After several years of obtaining my first undergraduate degree in social science, I completed my second one in Statistics. In addition to my explorations in both social and statistical ventures, I had a minor in business analytics so that I can pursue my career as a data analyst and a researcher in several areas. In the summer of 2016, I completed an internship as a data analyst at the Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) technology department to assist with NASA MUREP Aerospace Academy program under the supervision of the Chair of the department. My responsibilities included entry and analysis of raw data. I applied standard formulae for predicting trends, and prepared tables and graphs. In addition to advanced mathematical computational courses, I have also taken classes on running complex models in data analysis including regression techniques using statistical software, such as SAS, R, Minitab, and SPSS. This summer job & my current job have taught me and will continue to teach me innovative ways to spark the desire to be a leader in the higher education field. The programs not only enriched my own leadership skills but helped adaptive leadership
