I am a junior English and communications major at Albion College intending to earn my Bachelor of Arts in May of 2018. A summer 2017 editorial internship at Scholastic would be a fantastic opportunity for me to expand on the skills I have already developed, while continuing to learn more about the publishing field. I have always been obsessed with reading, but growing up with a brother who did not develop the same passion motivated me to want to work in the publishing field so that I can help produce books for children and teenagers who need a story they can connect with. Scholastic stands out as a company to me due to your commitment to children’s literacy and the philosophy that reading can expand a child’s world.
