A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. Leadership and service are two words that I hold sacred and have impacted my life in exponential ways. As a leader, I have worked as hard as I could to achieve my goals and the goals of the teams I have lead. Each day I wake up more energized and have a larger desire to make a difference in my community, school, family and job.
As a leader, I have climbed the ranks in my school. From freshman year to senior year, I started off in our Student Council as a representative, but as more events arose, I took charge and led the events. This inspired me to lead the full council. As the Student Body President, I make sure everyone is taken care of, respected and thanked for their participation in our school.

To me, the truest act of leadership is one of servant leadership and without servant leaders, I don't believe our country would function. I have a strong faith in people with big hearts as their passions and hands are finding success even after failures. In college, I hope to get as involved as possible and make a big difference right away. Whether it serving on the University President's Student Cabinet to acting as the Student Body President my senior year, whether it's giving tours to prospective students or tutoring a student who is struggling, my goal is that when I get where I'm going to turn around and help the next in line. Whenever I reach my goals, I will take the step to help someone else reach their's and that to me is the truest form of leadership. Helping others as they have helped you.
