Every child at some point has probably been asked the question, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” I always thought that I wanted to go into the business field, but it was not until High School that I knew, without a doubt, that the business field was for me. While in High School, I was student store manager, ASB treasurer, and fundraising commissioner, I could not get enough of money, inventory, business accounts, and everything else related which lead me to make the decision to get my degree in accounting. My short-term goal is to get an accounting and business related internship. I am very hopeful for the future and cannot wait to see what the future beholds. Graduating college and getting my degree is very important to me because I am the first one in my immediate family to graduate college, and the second one in my extended family. My father got a job right after high school, so he did not attend college and my mother attended college, but she only completed some classes. My sister went to a vocational school, but I am the first to attend a four-year university. Part of my reasoning for getting a college degree is to guarantee that I am educated and can get a steady job to support my future family and start building college funds so that my future children can also get a good education. I have seen how my parents have struggled at times financially, so I want to do my best to make sure that it does not happen to me. Along with education, community service is also very important to me. As a teenager, I volunteered at town hall, a total of 600 hours; I was then hired on as a staff member, where I still currently work. I also currently volunteer in my church nursery, mostly every Sunday
