The news often talks about whether college players should be paid or not. Big tv shows like USA today or Espn and 247sports are constantly talking if college athletes should be paid. It has its pros and cons but college players should not be paid to play because most probably got scholarships, will not be fair for other students, college is to educate not to pay entertainers. Most of these college athletes probably got a full ride to go to college and play ball. So it really don’t make sense on why people think they should be paid. Getting a scholarship should be good enough of a paycheck for those athletes because that thousands of dollars paid by that school so they can play. It pay for their class,food,dorm and books. If I was a student and I found out that they were getting paid and have a scholarship I would be mad. It won’t be fair for the other students who have to struggle to pay for their college. Most students independ going into to debut because of student loans and if athletes get paid to play then that makes everything easy for me. The college is already paying for their tuition and most likely everything else. So why give them twice the money while other students struggle to pay for their tuition and work their butt off to get a quality education? College is always to educate their students, never to pay for entertainers. What some people don’t know is that some college athletes don’t have a high chance of going pro and play for living. So these students-athletes have to rely on their education so they can have a chance to succeed in life. That’s what high school and college is for, it gives them the best chance in life to be able support themselves and be able to strive in life. If that student-athletes has a chance to go pro then good for them but college should treat them like any other student, instead of treating them like celebrities and pay
