Paying college athletes has always been a debatable topic for more than a handful of years. College athletes practice upwards of 40 hours a week which is a full work week for most people. If colleges start to pay student athletes then they will become more competitive and they’ll play better. College athletes will leave school with something more than a degree sometimes in this economy you'll need more than a degree.

College athletes practice over 40 hours a week. For most working adults that is a full work week. COllege athletes don't have enough time to be able to practice and work because of their practice schedule and there studys. Since they are paid they will play better because they won't want to lose their jobs that they have. They’ll play better because it'll be like a job for them and if they don't work hard enough they could be let go at any time, just like the expert sports journalist Dave anderson says, “College athletes should be paid because they’re working a full-time job”.
College athletes will leave school with something more than a degree sometimes in this economy you'll need more than a degree. In this economy people are looking for more than just a degree, there also looking for experience and if you don't have experience then you probably won't get the job. Then when you get out of school and you don't have any money and can't find the job you could find yourselves on the streets homeless. just like the expert sports journalist Joe Nocera, “it's not that hard.”

Now some people might disagree on this topic and say they should not be paid well I will be addressing those topics right now. When a college athlete might go to a different college because they pay better than the college's will lose their values. When only a couple of sports bring in money that all of them can be paid.
