Do you like getting that call or a knock on the door from the ambulance telling you that your child had just been in a wreck because of drunk driving? The consideration of changing the legal driving age from 18 to 21 is not a good idea. If the legal driving is to be changed for teenagers they would be deprived of all opportunities to have experience; which make the teens way more dangerous. The legal teenage driving age is currently 18, and is currently being reconsidered to change the legal driving age to 21. The legal driving age should not be changed to 21 because that is the legal drinking age which means they would bring more drinking and driving opportunity’s to the teenagers. If legal driving age is changed to 21 that means the kids will be thrown out the fire will not have enough time and on the road experience; as best as opposed if there are 18 and legal to drive back on the road and become drivers with more on the road experience. Most of the driving errors happen because of the teaching of the student and the teaching of the teenagers must become better to help reduce the collision rate. It may help stop the stereotyping of young teens as reckless drivers and dangerous drivers and help the consideration of not changing the driving age from 18 to 21. The real fault is not in the age of the driver it is in the quality of teaching of the driver; we need to try to raise the quality of teaching the young teenage drivers instead of raising the age.
