Student-athletes will benefit from the money being equally distributed from the National Collegiate Athletic Association, which have them living comfortably. The current laws are preventing all student-athletes from getting any extra money or a steady income. With the help of the NCAA, we can get laws passed so that the restriction of student-athletes being paid is off and on full go. There needs to be minor changes within the organization, but it will not hurt the NCAA since they are considered a nonprofit organization. This will have a huge impact on student-athlete daily living and the way they will perform at their sport.

The NCAA is receiving a large profit from student-athletes, even though they are considered a non-profit organization. Student-athletes bring in so much money with ticket sales, jersey sales, and broadcasting, but student-athletes are not seeing any of this money.
Although scholarships covers tuition, housing, and meal plan, there are other needs meal are limited not all student-athletes are on full scholarships. Student-athletes also are not able to have a job, because they do not have enough time. How are college athletes supposed to make a day to day living off just a scholarship? What happens when their meal plan runs out? Where are they supposed to get money to eat? What about the student-athletes that aren’t on full scholarships, and they do not get a meal plan? Are they just supposed to starve? Student-athletes aren’t able to get a job because their schedules are full of meetings, workouts, and practices.
