Steve Jobs Research Paper

After, what seemed like, a never-ending process of searching for potential topics, I finally set my focus to one research topic, Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs, who is now deceased, was a famous entrepreneur and inventor. He was born February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, California. Steve Jobs had many talents in the technology world; he did everything from inventing new electronics to running a film company. Although Steve had many things going for him in the upbringing of technology, he is remembered mainly for his breakthrough with Apple Inc. It is evident that I could without trouble research all these innovations but, what I am more interested in is exploring the various influences on Steve Jobs which helped shape his successful career path. So,

A search question is key when seeking information because it serves as a mark for where to start in regards to a chosen topic. My list began by considering two possible search questions. The first search question I came up with was: What were the stages Steve Jobs went through to get his business where it is at today? Although this question fit the standard of not being a singular question, it did not meet the standards regarding the stages of his career. It is evident that Steve Jobs early death caused him not to be able to complete his career stages, therefore this search question would not have been a great candidate for this research paper causing me to reject it. The second, and final, search question was: What were the main influences on Steve Jobs as an entrepreneur? This search question made a great candidate for my paper because not only did it allow me to narrow my focus on my topic but it allowed multiple answers which was exactly what I needed. From this single question, I can place more attention on the specifics of who or what influenced him, which is the reason why this became my finalized search question of choice. Once I have explored the depths of my topic, my hopes are that I have gained new knowledge in regards to Steve Jobs as an entrepreneur, along with what influenced him to pursue this chosen path of

Before having completed this assignment, I already had used a secondary source. Upon dissecting my search questions, I found that the information required on Steve Jobs came easiest by searching the internet. Once I typed Steve Jobs into Google, I then stumbled upon a website named hbr.org. This website provided me with the information I needed about my topic. I am confident that I will continue to find useful internet sources about my topic considering the fact that Steve Jobs was a well-known figure in our society, therefore making the chances of my research paper to succeed a bit easier. Using primary sources for my research is not a part of my plans for this research project. Instead, the internet, a secondary source which I have already been using, will be what will empower me to complete this project. Another place where I am able to turn to for information is the LRC database, or library, which carry books and articles concerning my topic. One of the main reasons I chose Steve Jobs as my topic is because there are numerous sources on him which makes it easier to collect the information I need for this research
