Doctor Felice Leonardo Buscaglia once said, “Change is the end result of all true learning” (Learning). Learning is an understanding that works far pass just for educational purposes. The importance of learning is that learning allows each individual to change and grow into a more educated and experienced person. Learning opens each person’s ability to perceive and affect the world. Education lays the foundation for learning and experiences that students encounter in their lives. Teachers have the responsibility to empower students to discover learning and the power it holds. Using the power of learning, I will be a more effective teacher when I approach teaching when I am a teacher by showing students the value of their own learning and making positive learning environments in the classroom that transcends just in school. Students deserve to learn at their own paces and styles with the help of teachers to incorporate that diversity in their teaching style to match the students’ learning styles. Teachers have responsibilities to facilitate student learning, teach basic skills students need in their lives, and help students grow as individuals. As a future teacher, I have many personal goals I wish to achieve with my students in guiding them to discover their interests, find the value in what they are learning, and see how their academics can build the foundation for helping the world be a better place. Students deserve to be able to thrive and flourish in a learning environment that prepares them not only how to succeed on an academic standpoint but also with succeeding in life.
