With the help of many others, such as well-known actors Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, and the famous Robert De Niro, the story comes together to create one of the most famous mob movies ever made.

As accomplished teacher I am dedicated to making sure each student is given a chance to learn. In addition to my belief our students can learn, each student should be treated equally. However, each student should have a personal learning style and as educator I will be able to meet the needs of the each student. As educator I provide a personal learning network for each student. The environment for the personal network is a safe and nurturing.
And as a future teacher I have a philosophy that I don’t believe in low expectations and I don’t believe in grouping students based on previous grades or background. A good teacher should be able to teach a heterogeneous group of students. And my goals are to teach every student the content knowledge, the academic language and also show them how each concept would be useful for future courses and for real life scenarios. Last but not least, I will help create students that will be self-motivated to become better throughout my class and
I am currently teaching at Swainston Middle School in North Las Vegas. Our student population is very diverse, including English Language Learners (ELLs). During this time as a teacher, I have served students with different language needs. It has been my goal to engage ELL students in my lessons as every other student. It is my opinion that as teachers we are all language teachers.
Through my peer helping course, I was given the opportunity to learn teaching concepts and apply them as an “assistant teacher” in a grade 9 French Extended class. During theory classes, I was taught concepts such as multiple intelligences and creating lesson plans. As an assistant teacher, I would apply this knowledge by creating lesson plans and evaluations, teaching new material, supervising the class and taking up class work. Both the theory and practical experience will help me become an effective teacher. I can use the knowledge of multiple intelligences and lesson plans to prepare classes where students of all learning types can flourish.
Through the classes I have taken at City College and my experiences in the classroom, I have developed a personal teaching philosophy that will be implemented into my future classrooms. My personal goal for my future classroom is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. In order to make this possible it is essential that educators believe that all students are capable of learning. With the proper motivation, direction, and modifications all students can learn. I am a big proponent of group work and collaboration projects.
I believe the fundamental goal of teaching is to foster and facilitate learning. Education takes place in many assorted circumstances and contexts. Every student is capable of learning, but a student's desire to learn as well as their individual learning styles are essential to how they master new concepts and skills. It is vital for educators to utilize an array of teaching methods and accommodate a variety of learning styles to create an atmosphere that is conducive to student learning. My interest in the subject, as well as my passion and enthusiasm for teaching and learning, help my students have not only an increased willingness to learn, but also a desire to put forth the effort needed to ignite the spark that will kindle the flame
I want them to be able to learn about the world in a safe and fun environment. I want them to be kind and learn to be gracious and self-aware. I want my students to learn how to be able to help themselves and others, so that they will be effectively prepared for the future. Most of all, I want my students to understand that they are loved and that I will do anything to help them succeed. I believe that all children can learn when provided the right environment and tools.
I believe my students learn best in small groups. It is during small groups that I can monitor, evaluate, and continually adapt my teaching to the needs of the students. I find that having a personal relationship with every student, I can give each one of my students an equal chance for success. By recognizing every student’s potential and having separate, individual goals for each, I can accommodate personal needs and abilities and educate and encourage them to reach their goals and beyond.
Teaching professionals benefit greatly from collaboration. I had the opportunity to observe departmental collaboration meetings during pre-clinical experiences. I was able to begin developing competency for my future as a teacher. Their main goal was to determine the best practices to utilize in the classroom that would benefit every student. Although I was only an observer, I learned the many areas teachers reflect on in the classroom.
My desire to become an elementary teacher was formed by my vision to be able to help children understand that they are important in all aspects of their lives. This vision not only helps me be a better teacher but also helps me be a better person. This vision helps me understand that all students are able to learn, but may need a different way to see things. Each and every student is different and processes things differently. My vision is a foundation to show children that this is not a bad thing and that it can actually be helpful in their personal progress.
When I first started teaching, it was exciting. I loved education and working with young people. I was very idealistic and as corny as it may sound, I thought in my own way I was changing the world. Through the years, my initial excitement turned to stress and anxiety.
As a teacher, I believe that the students of today are our greatest investment. My goal is to provide every one of my students with an education adapted to fit their individual needs and engage them with relevant and authentic activities and materials. I strive to advocate for my students, encourage my students, communicate and collaborate with their support systems, inspire them to be independent thinkers and learners and continue to develop my knowledge of technology and current teaching practices. I believe it is my duty to help all students realize the potential they possess, as well as nurture, and utilize their talents in the hope of being active, educated, and participating members of society.
