7. How did Catherine’s Instructions contradict her real policies? Catherine’s Instructions contradicted her real policies in many ways. In her book Instructions, Catherine interrogated the establishment of serfdom, torture, and capital punishment and even recommended the proposition of the equality of all people in the eyes of the law. But there was only a small actual change after a year and a half of negotiations.
Rachel Hagebush EDUC 417 Michael Lesch December 1, 2015 Philosophy of Education I feel that education is a unique experience for every person. Each student and teacher possess different qualities that contributes to the classroom, community and the world as a whole. In order for students to learn, teachers need to understand that each student is different they have their own thoughts, beliefs, and learning styles. Teachers need to be creative to engage students and teach in a way that works with their individual learning style.
The purpose for students to go through so many stages to reach their goal of becoming a teacher is to make them more informed and experienced about their career. The professional dispositions allow the students to know how to behave professionally, be ethically professional towards their students as well as colleagues, personally develop their skills as a preservice candidate, and successfully go through the all the stages to become a teacher. In my experiences from K-12, I have never considered a teacher to be unprofessional to my peers or myself. A teacher who comes to school dressed accordingly for work is considered professional.
As future teachers, there will be all kinds of students that we will get to know, all of these students are just young kids who are trying to find out who they are and where their place is in the world. All of the students we will have when we are teachers will possess different qualities and experiences that make them unique. Different qualities of the students may include that they come from different backgrounds and cultures, and they have different interests and passions. The cultures the students come from will show their differences, and how unique they are, along with what their interests are. All students that teachers will have in their classroom will come from different experiences, whether they are from their home lives, possible
Phill Collins once said: "In learning you will teach and in teaching you will learn." As a student you look up to your teachers they are the example you strive to become. However we have also had the influence of teachers that we were not particularly fond of. So, what makes a teacher someone you can learn from, someone you are exited to see everyday? Studies show that good professors do not only teach, but they encourage new possibilities, inspire you to work harder, praise accomplishments, and mentor you in anything you need help for.
In regards to the principles of Christian education, I believe that students must be committed to excellence and extremely passionate about having a Christ-centered schooling environment as they strive for, attain, and maintain high standards. Curriculum developers must take into consideration that true learning and wisdom can only occur within a worldview that acknowledges that every square inch of creation belongs to God. As teachers teach, they must be highly qualified and passionate about Christ and Christian school excellence. It is my belief that, no matter how hard one studied and capitalizes on the worldly aspects of materialistic things; his or her life is not worthwhile unless God is the head in all the plans that he wants to ascertain. Teaching and learning should be personalizes to prepare each student for God’s unique call to his or her life.
I want to become a teacher because I was inspired by my hig school teacher when I was a learner, so I want to inspire my learners as the way my hig school teacher did to me. I want to become a positive role model to all my children because same children they don’t have a good background about how important education is, so I like to change that and gives them positive information and confidence about education. I like seeing children being able to enjoy the subject and understand what I’m teaching them. I want to become one of those teachers who want to take education to next level.
The educational system is a system that has been developed to help teach and provide students with essential knowledge for everyday life. As students we are given the opportunity to choose our own life path and the education system helps aid the student on their journey. As a sophomore center student I have been granted the opportunity to explore the world of teaching, however, I feel I have only been able to dip my toes in the water and I am ready to jump in. As a student who thrives in teaching situations and enjoys the idea of helping and informing others, I feel the teachers of tomorrow program will help assist my love for teaching and provide a strong basis of real life teaching opportunities. I first acted on my love for teaching when applying to the Center of Education and Human Development.
I believe it is a teacher’s job to spark a curiosity for learning from their students. I want to teach so I can spark many children’s curiosity for education. I believe I am a dependable and motivated person and I am excited to teach and bring excitement in to the classroom. Every student has had a different experience with going to school before coming into my class and I want to make sure that for my students I make their learning experience as positive as possible, and they master as many skills as possible.
In choosing to become a teacher, I have made a commitment to myself and future students to be the best academic teacher and role model I can be. In order to follow through with this commitment, I have set a few goals for myself before I become a student teacher. I plan to continue observing classrooms and gaining experience. As I go out and observe these classrooms, I hope to gain many more qualities that will make me a great teacher. I also hope to learn a great variety of teaching methods that I can use in my future classroom.
I believe that every student has the potential to learn and accomplish great things. Every student is a unique and because of that they all have their own way in which they learn and achieve their goals. As a teacher I feel that it is my responsibility to create engaging and interesting situations for students to learn and grow both in their academic and personal lives. I will be aware of all students’ strengths and levels of ability so that they will be able to thrive in their education.
I believe that all of the students who enter my classroom can and will succeed. It’s my responsibility to help all of my students reach their full potential, gain knowledge, and skills that they will need in their everyday lives. The teaching in my classroom is student centered and the students should be accountable for their behavior and learning. As a teacher, I’m able to help my students on their quest for knowledge, acquire communication skills, critical thinking skills, and problem solving skills which will allow my students to be life-long learners. By allowing my students to use the tools and their knowledge to discover and implement through other outlets to problem solve.
I had the honor of coming into teaching during my undergraduate education. I began working as a volunteer at a local elementary school. I initially came in to mentor children in the school's after-hours program. This school was in a particularly impoverished area in the city. In working with the students, I found that they lacked many of the necessary resources needed to move through the school day.
Fortunately, I have an extremely rich heritage in the area of education. My parents were both educators as well as my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and several other is my extended family. Some of my earliest memories are helping my mother and father in their classrooms. I can remember putting up bulletin boards and placing seats in order. It was one of the most exciting times of the year when we were preparing to go back to school.
“People admire who change them. Like a child who is saved by a doctor, they admire doctors and want to become one. Like a boy who is bewitched by beautiful skills longing to be an assassin. Just like I admire that teacher of ours” Assassination Classroom Season 2 Episode 20. This is precisely the line where for the first time I began to think, “Do I want to be a teacher?
