High Noon and "The Most Dangerous Games" are great stories with very interesting plots. Kane and Rainsford are the main characters of these stories, and they are very different but alike at the same time. Both Kane and Rainsford fight alone against their opponent with no one their to help them. Kane was not always alone until he turned in his tin star and said goodbye to being a sheriff so he could be with his wife who was a Quaker.
I became an educator to make an impact and open up children’s eyes to all possibilities that are out there. Teaching is an incredible profession. Each day is an opportunity to mold minds and stimulate creativity. When students achieve a simple or complex task, I feel it’s’ an experience for me to be a part of their success. I will continue to teach as a career.
In the short story “Masque of the Red Death”, Edgar Allan Poe uses the ignorance of Prince Prospero's actions and characteristics to portray the main idea that humans cannot escape death. In the story there is an airborne disease going around called “The Red Death”, which consequently so many people have died from it. There are also rooms that signify the stages of life from birth to death and a big ebony clock which signifies how much time you have left before you die. When Prince Prospero (a fearless and wise prince) decides to throw a masquerade ball in a castellated abbey, he invites the healthiest people in the land and they “leave means neither of ingress nor egress” to try and shut out the “The Red Death” (Edgar Allan Poe). Therefore,
A large group of students in the United States makeup a large population of English language learners. Students who are considered English language learners undergo many challenges in their education, and without the necessary support and resources from their educators it can make it hard for them to succeed. A teacher plays a significant role in the success of a child, and it is crucial for them to be able to provide the proper education to students whose first language is not English. It is also very important for teachers to understand the challenges that these students are facing. Having empathy towards the students allows for the teacher to create better connections and relationships to better help them.
I have taught many students over my career. I have always sought to encourage, support and motivate them so that they could create better lives for themselves. Teaching is an ideal profession to help others determine and reach their potential. And I know that I must continue to develop myself professionally in order to be a better teacher and educator My motivation is to study and research practical consultancy projects with schools and education policy organizations.
Being involved in the learning process of others is vitally important to me. I believe that as an educator, we have the capability and responsibility to help mold not only students educational goals, but to help mold them into successful adults that sill contribute to society. Many times during my life I have been a teacher, a counselor, a cheerleader and a role model for my students. Every student is at a different point in their learning process and cycle, and a good educator can find that point and capitalize on what the student needs next.
What do you currently teach and where? I am a December graduate of the University of Charleston. I graduated magna cum laude. After graduation I began substituting. I substituted at a variety of schools in Kanawha County in a variety of grades.
I am currently employed as a substitute teacher for the Richland School District, located in Shafter, CA. I have been a substitute teacher for about six months and it has been a great experience which is one reason why I want to continue my career and get my teaching credentials. I am interested in becoming a Physical Education teacher so I can make a difference in children’s lives. I am choosing to pursue teaching as a profession because I know I can leave a positive impact on children. Being around sports and physical fitness has given me the motivation and knowledge to teach children the importance of maintaining active and healthy.
Anyone wanting to be a successful educator must have an incredible passion for the kids they serve. Resultantly, successful teachers want to constantly improve their knowledge and abilities in order to become their best. That is what kids deserve. For me to grow, develop, and become an excellent Teaching Fellow, I need to learn different teaching styles to benefit individual needs, hold myself accountable for student learning, and understanding how to cultivate classroom community . It is first necessary that I better understand ways of teaching that can benefit different students individually.
Using a textbook to its best advantage seems to be overlooked when we prepare for teaching. I believe there is a place for textbooks, facts, and even lectures in different subjects or level of students. I have noticed that many really don't know what to do with a textbook. They have learned a great deal about cooperative learning, using technology in the classroom, and designing rubrics. While those are good things to know, some traditional classroom techniques are also important.
My vision for the teaching profession as a whole is to instill a desire to learn within my students. This learning process is not just consist of academic content but includes the content of using good morals, being positive, persistent, and other characteristics to help one to be successful in society and fulfilling their life’s purpose. This will then continue the cycle of creating other successful learners and a successful
My main purpose for furthering my education is that I have a passion for working with children, I want to go into a career where I know that I'm going to enjoy what I’m doing. I believe that one of my main goals for teaching, would be to teach children how to love learning because learning is a lifelong process. I believe every student deserves an equal opportunity to be successful, and the best way to be successful is through education. Through the Agricultural Leadership course, I got first hand-experience in planning and teaching a class of third-grade students. This has only fueled my desire to become a teacher.
Teachers have always been a massive impact in my life. I was brought to this country at such a young and had no prior knowledge of English. So, I have a strong appreciation to those teachers/mentors that had the immense patience with my family and I. I would like to repay those who were a part of my education learning experience. I believe that I have much potential in the Education field specifically here in Arizona due to it being a bilingual area. As a result, I would like to work with students in general no matter where they fall in the General Education spectrum, but preferably 1st through 3rd grade would be ideal.
There are few things in life that are not affected by our education. Throughout my life I have been driven by my desire to educate others. Whether it is teaching my brother to tie his shoes, or teaching children how to care for their teeth, education has been a strong point in my life. My professional philosophy revolves around my desire to help others achieve understanding of a topic in a clear, direct way that results in them mastering that concept in a positive manner. The fun part of being an educator, in my opinion, will be the different methods I will get to use to teach a variety of subjects.
I believe that educating is a responsibility to the passionate, individual, and scholastic needs of students. Educators must enjoy and make the most of their work. As a young person, I frequently volunteered to keep children in our neighborhood. Presently, I am seeking a teaching profession so I can have a positive effect on today's kids. To be a compelling instructor, I think that one must be energetic and helpful.
