I believe my nomination is influenced by my boundless energy, my passion for the art of teaching, my positive attitude and my enthusiastic presence on the campus. I like to think of myself as the schools spirit leader. Also, in my classroom there is no shortage of ways in which I demonstrate outstanding excellence in teaching. The best teachers know how to bring out the best performance in their students. A demonstrate leadership skills by enabling the full potential of each student. I truly believe each student has the potential to bring something unique and amazing to the world. I strive to engage, challenge, and inspire growth in my students. It is also my belief that every student is capable of feeling the passion I feel for knowledge and learning. Public education, more so than politics, laws, or charity, can create systematic changes. I teach because I love humanity, specifically the town I call home, the place where I raise my children-and I want to see it transformed and I will see it transformed! Education is a gift that is handed to each generation and a heritage that we pass to the next. Education transforms societies. Throughout human history there has been no greater democratizing force within societies than education. It is the great equalizer; the great opportunity creator; the greatest economic stimulus ever conceived. Education has saved more lives than any modern medicine. I am a living testament of how educators can change a person’s life for the better. I come from a background that typically would destroy a person but because of education I have overcome all obstacles of my childhood and I am better off than my parents and my children will be even better off than me because of the divine power of
