As a first grade teacher, I know that times will be challenging. I also know that I will need lots of patience and time for the children in my class because they are so young. Building relationships with each child will help with getting to know each other and work well together. As I grow in my career, I hope to learn many different ways that I can help my students and help them become successful. I want to become more knowledgeable about the ups and downs of teaching. I also want to learn how to deal with a child in each and every situation that may come along. I want to become more successful in my career by knowing every teaching strategy. Some kids pick up things differently than others. According to “Teachhub.com,” one of the most effective ways of helping the students learn is to actively engage students. “Children learn by doing, not just by hearing. Get your students engaged in the lesson by having them partake in hands- on activities.” By being able to visualize what is going on, it helps the students get a better understanding on a different level.” Another effective strategy is walking around the class and monitoring each student to make sure they have a clear understanding of what is expected from them. Making sure that they do not have any questions or concerns can be effective as well.Rewarding a student and giving them positive feedback is a huge factor in being effective. However, it is also a good thing to know the benefits that you will receive while being a teacher.
