Since I am currently enrolled at Indiana Wesleyan University as a second year student, I know I have more room to grow in my teaching career. The further I dive into the education program the more equip I become into being the best teacher possible for my future students (5.0). So far I have learned about who I want to be in my career, who I am as a Christian, and what it takes to be an effective teacher. My passion for teaching others has grown tremendously since beginning my journey into college. The examples of what it takes to be a great teacher are all around me, so the possibility of me becoming an effective teacher grows tremendously because I am constantly being shown a great example (5.f). I understand the uniqueness between each individual which influences their learning experiences because I am a testimony of it. I am continuously being a student, so it is easy to self reflect and find what it takes for me to have the greatest learning experience. I use this to my advantage to understand the variety of learning experience every individual endures (5.d). With the use of technology, I know that I will be able to give the most effective teachings possible to the upcoming generation. My instruction will be based on my knowledge I have gathered over the years about the subject and the way in which my students best receive information, all the while meeting the curriculum exceptions set for me to follow (5.4). My biggest strength is recognizing if something is working, and if it is not working, I am easily able to make changes.
