Argument by crisis: Texting and driving
Distracted driving is becoming more common now with the use of cellphones and smartphones. Most people are trying to check their phones when they are behind the wheel. It has become known that texting and driving is the number one source of distracted driving. Texting and driving is something that we as humans are not taking serious. Texting and driving is a crisis because adults are not practicing the skills they are teaching teenagers, a way to help it is to pass a bill that can ban having any interactions with a hand-held device, and that people should be educated about the dangers of texting and driving.
Adults should start taking the action of not texting and driving behind the wheel. Adults preach to teenagers about not doing certain things but they do the opposite of what they the teaching. Most teens look up to adults as their guides. If their guides are doing bad things, then that leads them to do bad things as well. Adults are as likely as teens are to text behind the wheel or talk on the phone behind the wheel (Texting among teenagers…).

The bill called House Bill 1371, was made to stop the use of any hand-held device behind the wheel of a car (Legislation proposed to meet crisis…). This would end some of the texting distract accidents that are out there in the country and in the world.
