It is not up to the government to tell a woman to give birth or not, and this is denying the access to a pro-choice decision. It doesn't matter if the government is acting out of its own convictions or because of public demand, a woman still has the right to control her own reproductive capacity. This act is not "killing babies¨. Most abortions take place in the first trimester of pregnancy, when the fetus is incapable of living nor has it developed a nervous system or a functioning brain. Although abortion is often viewed by many as a sin, and an act of murder, it should be the woman’s choice.
Age and maturity play an important role in the decision of abortion. Most women who go through abortions are teens. It’s crucial for them because teens are still young and unstable emotionally, socially, and physically. According to the 2013 Reported Abortions by Age of Mother, 11.4% of abortions are from women ages from 15-19, and 32.7% of abortions are from 20-24 year olds.
