When people hear the word diet, they often think about it exclusively for people who are trying to lose weight. The truth is that, it is also a term that people use when they are trying to gain weight. Believe it or not, there are people who can’t gain weight, and sometimes can also be dangerous. However, it is not only for losing and gaining weight, it can also be a chosen lifestyle, that is why there are tons of diets out there. The word diet actually came from the word diete, which is actually an Old French word, as well as from the word dieta, which is a Latin word that actually means ‘a good food allowance’. The best time to do this is 30 minutes after you wake up before eating anything. Some people go extreme by actually not eating anything at all and just drinking water. This is definitely not advisable though since you will quickly lose weight and will gain it back once you start eating again. The Vegan Diet The vegan diet is actually more of a lifestyle choice, than a diet. People who are turning into vegans are most likely animal lovers, because they don’t eat or use any food or product that came from an animal. It is often compared to the vegetarian diet, but this is more of an extreme way of doing it. This is best for people who are trying to lose weight, but this is more of a lifestyle choice so don’t do this, if all you want is to lose weight. It is also pretty dangerous since the body would need protein and calcium, as well as Vitamins D, iron, and Vitamin B12, which can all be found in meats and dairy. The Atkins Diet This is actually one of the most popular diets out there for people who are trying to lose weight. It is known to be a low-carbohydrate diet. This involves consuming as much as fat and protein as you want, as long as you avoid foods that contain too much carbohydrates. This was promoted by Dr. Robert C. Atkins in
