I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.
There are many core principles encompassed by the mission and values of Pacific University's Physician Assistant Studies program that I know will make Pacific University a great match for me. Ensuring high quality care for patients, valuing diversity, and lifelong learning of evidence based medicine are concepts that should be at the core of healthcare. Also important to me is the need to help underserved populations. Currently working as a medical assistant at a primary care physicians office in Hilo, Hawaii I work with many individuals from underserved communities of the island and I see the need for greater healthcare access in these areas, and I am now committed to continuing to help the underserved as I further my career.
As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.
My interest for the scientific area, what Heritage has to offer me, and what I bring to share with the community are the main reasons why I want to study at Heritage University in order to accomplish my academic and professional goals. Science is one of the most interesting areas that touch all kinds of life since a child I was interested in the science to become a scientist or doctor. For instance, during my high school years I took high level courses related to the science including Honor Chemistry, Honors Biology, and Principles of Biomedical Science. Further, I become more curious about the life in their all forms and of the non-ending knowledge that comes with. Beyond high school years, I have been involved in the scientific area due to the satisfaction that research and the possibilities that science brings into my life, how powerful one becomes with the knowledge and the actions taken after obtaining that experience.
Throughout the college application process, it has become increasingly evident to me that NYU is unlike other schools due to its prioritization of individuality. Coming from a small Catholic high school, one of my goals for the next four years is to branch out and better myself through being a part of a diverse and open-minded student body. The diversity of culture, religion, opinion, and even personality at NYU is extremely important to me, and shows that the school is an open and accepting environment for all. The tradition of Ally Week especially interests me, as I am constantly trying to use the privileges I have been given to the advantage of those who do not share those same privileges. This dedication to equality is truly what makes NYU
At NYU, I hope to achieve this goal. I aspire to give structure to my life by participating in rigorous courses that will enable me to pursue a career in treating mental illnesses. In the College of Arts and Sciences, I intend to acquire skills in communication, analytical thinking and understanding human social behavior, cultivating my passion for understanding what makes the human brain so fascinating. Situated in one of the largest cultural hubs of the world, NYU would allow me to, like the squiggle, explore my interests. I would be able to visit museums such as the Whitney or take part in clubs such the Slam Poetry Club and Model UN or even partake in the annual Strawberry Festival.
I have worked so hard in school waiting for a moment like this. UNCW would be a great challenge for me, but it would also help me out immensely. UNCW has a excellent education program and that is exactly the field of study I aim to go into. I spent approximately half of my sophomore year at the early college tutoring at Dobson Elementary. I cherished every second helping my fifth grade class.
Wisconsin-Madison ranks as one of the most successful public universities in the nation. With an innovative vision, the actuarial science program was implemented sixty years ago, a program that most universities just added to their curriculum. This university's rich history of successful professionals inspires me to become part of the institution. To make my goal a reality, a university that provides academic excellence, connections for internships and co-ops, and professors engaged in research is something extremely critical when deciding which college I want to go to. Because Wisconsin-Madison meets these personal requirements, and exceeds what I look for, it would be a perfect home while doing my undergraduate and graduate degree.
All along, I have managed to maintain the principles of ethics and integrity, a strong sense of purpose, and morality, which binds me rigidly. Appointment as student leader in all stages of my school and college life has presented me with opportunity to interact with people, develop organizational and communication skills. My involvement with speech, debate and sports has made me more than just an academic person In the pursuit of excellence and with a passion to reach the highest skills in my discipline, I look upon University of Texas, Arlington a springboard to accomplish my dreams. This esteemed institution can serve as a ladder and enable me to achieve higher aims by providing me the most contemporary input and exposure.
My interest for The University of Texas derives from my interest in the Architecture program. The past summer I had the opportunity to participate in the Architecture Academy at the University of Texas and the overall experience solidified my interest in Architecture and the overall University. I appreciated the sense of being able to have a small college in a rather large school. I enjoyed exploring Austin’s culture and I was drawn to the art and music of the City.
This, coupled with my passion for computer science inspires me to push the boundaries of software development. Waterloo can provide me with the tools necessary to accomplish this goal. I also decided to discuss with Waterloo students in the software industry, including
Through working at ‘Rossmoyne Senior High School’ and ‘Curtin University’ I have learnt certain IT skills, such as managing networks, support skills, and to how to communicate well in a team. However, I also work very well independently. From studying units such as ‘Screen Practice’, ‘TV Studio Workshop’, ‘Advertising and Music Video Production’, ‘Corporate Documentary Screenwriting’, ‘Corporate Documentary Production’, Transmedia and Multiplatform creation’ ‘Broadcast production’ and ‘Introduction to Screen Cultures’ at Curtin University, I have developed many skills in film and television creation. The heart of New York City is New York University. By joining the network of NYU, I will be able to study at an institution that has a long tradition of academic excellence among private universities in the United States. Additionally, I will be able to be part of an internationally recognized learning network with locations all across the globe. It would be a pleasure to study at a globally recognized university. A friend of mine who is a recent graduate from NYU College of Nursing has praised the program and conveyed to me a very positive experience.
Gaius Sallutius Crispus once said “Harmony makes small things grow, lack of it make great things decay.” Harmony is an agreement where it brings closure to fights. It has to be maintained and flows smoothly like a river in a never ending way. A small thing or a problem can be solve through discussion and exchanging of brilliant and logical ideas. Without harmony, there will be no peace, only chaos and the river bathed with red blood.
Being good in science, mathematics and having a natural inclination towards programming since early school days has shaped my future ambitions. With a strong determination and a focused goal to become a software engineer, I pursued the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information
