Verizon Wireless is a corporation that provides the best wireless service in the United States of America. Looking at my place of employment in Columbia, South Carolina it has about 1000 or more workers in the call center. This call center is one of the biggest call centers here on the East Coast and we are a very family oriented place of business. When you walk the halls, looking around seeing other employees and some know you by name and some you have never even met. It could be scary at times, but in the call center environment that could be a good thing especially within Verizon Wireless. We speak to our customers every day not knowing what is going on in their lives, only listening to what they tell us to help solve some of their concerns or to provide financial arrangements. Some customers that call in, they feel the need to open up and explain personal situations in their daily lives and they state that they feel connected with the representatives that they converse with. Verizon is an international company, with a headquarters in India. The employees are trained professionally to speak to customers in the United States as well as other places. The trainings that Verizon should offer are trainings for different languages and different nationalities because sometimes we have customers that report to headquarters about how a representative may have said something that is considered offensive and the representative did not mean any harm to the customer. Being employed at Verizon Wireless, this would a great idea for representatives to be trained on.
