Gogh managed to create over 2,100 artworks within a decade. A lot of his paintings were oil paintings. All of his artworks were of landscapes, still life, portraits and self portraits. He was and still is a very influential artist in the world of art till this day. Growing up Gogh was born into an upper middle class but, he was a very quiet, serious, and thoughtful child.
Vincent Van Gogh Who is Vincent Van Gogh? Van Gogh inspired upcoming artists, struggled with a mental illness and self-harm, plus had tons of life experiences to encourage him to become an artist. Vincent Van Gogh was an artist in the 1800’s. He wasn’t very popular until after his death in 1890. Van Gogh created about 900 paintings in his lifetime.
Vincent Van Gogh was a Dutch painter who is one of the most influential figures on Western art. Throughout his life he was combating depression, anxiety and symptoms of bipolar disorder. These disorders claim his life in 1890 at the age of 37. Van Gogh is worthy to be remembered because he contributed a lot to the history of art. Although not famous during his life, the now infamous Vincent Van Gogh gained popularity by creating Post-Impressionist artwork. A few of his most famous paintings include, Café Terrace on the Place du Forum, Starry Night, Mulberry Tree, the Vase with Twelve Sunflowers, and the Wheat with Cypresses. Although he has many paintings and drawings out, he did not start painting until 1880, which was ten years before his death. Vincent van Gogh was surrounded by art since the day he was born. Vincent Van Gogh grew up poor and either had to support himself or be supported by his younger brother.

In the Sculptures of David I feel that Michelangelo does an amazing job in dramatizing his appearance and making all of his features show.
So, what makes me think that he is the most famous contemporary artist of the postmodern era? I think it’s because of his unique technique and his creative thinking. With his intentions to use everyday objects, people, and a wild color palate, that is what makes Andy Warhol a truly unique artist and what contemporary art should be all about. We should all be able to thank him for leading the path for us because he has inspired the future generation of artists to come up with new and creative ways to define what we know today as contemporary
Vincent Van Gogh’s art work can be classified by subject matter into four groups which are landscape, people, still life, and cityscape. The first group of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings is a landscape. It means the land or the area where there is no construction or just a little, but most of the time, it is always focused on nature such as trees and flowers. Nature is one of the component of landscape’s theme which did not present only in the spring (Spence, 2001).
Throughout his life, he remained poor and unknown despite the fact of being a very talented artist. He did not become absolutely famous until after his death. According to Nathalie Heinich (1996) in her book “The Glory of Van Gogh”, “But it is not enough to tell how the Van Gogh who died in 1890 became the Van Gogh celebrated in the 1990s.” (pg. 1). It is not evident as to why he became extremely famous after his death but it is a known fact.
Gogh was a very misunderstood person that many people misjudged him. Van Gogh had and still leaves a big impression on art and artist. His work and him, himself has inspired many young artist nowadays. I could sit here and type a whole life story about Van Gogh, but i'm not going to because Van Gogh wasn’t the only major “impressionists” that has made a huge impact on the world of art. There
