Why Did We Use The Atomic Bomb Unjustified?

During the war, the important decision to use atomic bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945 was both dangerous and a controversial issue. People may have argued that the atomic bombs used were needed in order to win this war, others also believe that it had caused an unnecessary amount of death and suffering. The use of atomic bombs by the United States in the war was unjustified for both parties that had been involved. During this time, Japan was ready to leave and surrender[1], saying bombs that were used were not necessary. Some Japanese diplomats had been negotiating with allies such as the Soviet Union, using negotiators as a type of sweet talk with other allies. Instead, the atomic bombs were a tragic unnecessary act causing a large amount of death and suffering to civilians in Japan. The bombings on Nagasaki and Hiroshima created a pattern for the use of nuclear weapons in many ways, including the lack of boundaries. The use of these weapons during WWII masked the original use of them. These atomic bombings triggered an arms race between the Soviet Union and the United States, preparing them for a buildup on the use of these weapons. The atomic bombings inspired other countries to create and use nuclear weapons[3], increasing the risk of conflict. While they were continuing the use of atomic bombs and nuclear weapons, they failed to end mass destruction throughout the war. There has been no warning to the government or the civilians of Japan in regards to the atomic bombings on Nagasaki and Hiroshima during these events. The United States did not provide any notice, but the lack of warning meant that civilians had been caught off guard.
