He was convicted of Murder and treason for capturing an arsenal in Harpers Ferry, Virginia, holding hostages, and more. The Martin ⅞ trial found him not guilty. John Brown is not guilty of treason or murder at Harper's Ferry, VA. John Brown was not a killer, and he himself did not murder anyone at the attacks.
