John Brown killed many innocent people who did not own slaves. According to document E, on November 20th, 1859, Mahala Doyle expressed her anger towards John Brown. John Brown deliberately shot two of her sons and her husband because they were pro-slavery, even though they did not own slaves and weren’t ever going to own them. This shows that John Brown is a villain because he killed almost a whole family that did not own slaves, all because they were pro-slavery.
John Brown was an abolitionist who wanted to get rid of slavery in Kansas. When John Brown was 55, he moved to Kansas and played a role in “Bleeding Kansas”. Afterward, he was involved in other events like “The Sacking and Lawrence”, and “The Pottawatomie Massacre”, the last thing he was particularly a part of was the “Raid on Harpers Ferry”. He had done many other acts against slavery before the raid. Even though his raid was not a success, it still had an impact on the beginning of the civil war. Then afterward, he took a husband and two kids out of their home and killed them.

Typically, if you are willing to walk into other people's houses, as Mahala Doyle states, you are not a good person.
