William Shakespeare’s work has been involved in the high school curriculum for many years. Many say that Shakespeare’s ideas reveal the true human nature and that's why young adults need to study about him; However, the more that teens study Shakespeare some have agreed that it shouldn’t be apart of the standard High School curriculum due to the fact that the old English has no importance to them. Although William Shakespeare is an amazing dramatist and his works show the true reality of the world, Shakespeare’s writings and ideas need to be offered as an elective rather than having it forced on students in the normal English classes. Young teenargers today believe that the peices William Shakespeare wrote are irrelevant to them, and they are correct.

In his time, he wasn't actually the best he was down the list of play writes. We still use his words today, like the plays Romeo and Juliet and plays like that.
Does learning about shakespeare matter in today's curriculum. William Shakespeare is a poet who writes poems mostly about being passionate. His poems were mostly sonnets. One of his most famous poems is Romeo & Juliet, where 2 young teenagers fall in love,and marry each other just to kill themselves in spite of their love for each other. I believe Shakespeare should still taught in the 9th grade curriculum because it teaches kids about love and how to tell if you're truly in love.

After nearly 400 years, and people still consider Shakespeare the best writer of history! The reason behind that is the complexity and sophisticated ideas behind his writing, that there are multiple messages hidden between the lines of his entrancing poetry. Shakespeare has always chosen his characters to have extremely deep and profound personalities that allow the reader to speculate about our nature as humans. The swift character development demonstrates how we, as human, are fluids. We can adjust to any form very easily and quickly.
William Shakespeare is still relevant today because his play incorporates relationships and uses relatable topics that happen today. The play represents love strongly but also shows cruelty and diction through the play. It depicts how Males and Females will fight for love, relationships can have different feelings and problems. The play influences our culture because situations from the past also happen now. William Shakespeare's play “A Midsummer Night's Dream” is still relevant today because he uses relatable topics and literary devices which relates to many people as he is revealing his theme of people not controlling whom they have a love for and how far they will go for love.
In our freshman year of high school ninth graders must learn the many things in each of their subjects. In english class students are required to learn William "Bard of Avon" Shakespeare’s works. With Shakespeare 's works of literature and drama being 400 years old it’s expected that many people don’t want Barb’s works to be taught in the curriculum in schools. Shakespeare 's works should not be taught to students in schools because it’s difficult for students to understand, his work is not culturally diverse, and is outdated for today’s students. First, it’s difficult for many students to understand Shakespeare’s dialogue.
To the Dripping Springs Independent School District School Board: For centuries, Shakespeare has been part of school’s curriculums to enrich students understanding of the English language. However, in recent years schools have been taking shakespeare out of their curriculum, but DSISD has decided to keep shakespeare because of the similarity of Shakespeare and life today and also the enrichment of the English language. To prove that Shakespeare is still relevant by making of a remake set in modern times showing that Shakespeare can be adapted into a modern setting. I believe that Shakespeares plays are still very relatable and the themes can still connect with the 21st century. Macbeth, for example, has many themes that could connect with the themes and fundamentals of today. Some of the themes in Macbeth that are relevant today is the corruption of power, ambition, and fate. All of these themes happen today in the 21st century, making Macbeth very relevant today.
