Writing 101 Reflective Essay

In the beginning of the year, I introduced myself to the professor that I am not into Writing. However, I was regretful because I did not think before I speak. Nonetheless, Writing 101 turned out to be a meaningful class to me even though I did not attend all the class. After finishing twelve journals, my writing improves a lot such as my grammar and my vocabularies. I understand more about how to connecting paragraphs by using simple words like with the verb plus -ing. My writing would never be perfect. What I mean here is after a long time, if I read my journals again, I would have a lot thing to fix in order to make it better. The first story was by Rodriguez "The Lonely, Good Company of Books”, which point out a lesson that reading books would give me and others new vocabularies. Reading books have improved his speaking and writing in English and that is what I need right now. It actually worked out for him and his professor complimented him and he got into the best university. His life would change from that moment because more success will come to him. Additionally, Ann Hood’s story about River Street was so nice and memorable that while reading her story, I also reflected my childhood with my grandmother who passed away four years ago. I remember the motto “The motto – even the mantra – of this narrative model is of course the commandment of introductory fiction writings workshop: Show, don’t tell.”. Everyone need to know about this motto. Before, I thought that the longer the essay is, the better your essay will be. However, I was wrong after I see this motto. No one would want to read tedious essay with nonsense meaning. It also applies in real life. For instance, I think that I should get a high GPA in order to make my mother proud of me instead of saying unnecessary and meaningless words.
