Time I walked into English 1101 Dr. Rogers class I was dreading taking a class. I already felt that I had a good enough grass my English language charge. So I was frustrated because I didn’t think I would Get anything out of this class. However over the course of the semester I have found that I was wrong about that. I struggle and explaining my thoughts and writing them out on a piece of paper. I ended up learning quite a bit and gaining the knowledge I needed to improve my skill as a writer. Through English 1101 I have learned a lot about myself as a writer, I have figured out my weaknesses with writing, and I have discovered my strengths in writing. Back during the month of August, the main focus in this class was structured on how I previously had written in college before and how I would begin to learn to change my old writing habits. Although one of my best essays would be “The Pied Piper”, I also learned how to look at the things that aren’t in plain sight. I’ve learned to find more information for writing through cultural and personal references.
